Stepping into a new home is one of the most auspicious milestones in a devotee's life. According to Vedic Shastras, a freshly built or acquired house carries dormant spatial energies and environmental impressions. Griha Pravesh is the sanctifying ritual that purges negative vibrations, appeases directional guardians (Dikpalas), and establishes divine harmony.

The ceremony commences at the threshold with Torana installation and auspicious threshold worship (Dwar Puja). The auspicious boiling of milk in a new vessel until it gently overflows symbolizes unceasing abundance entering the household.

Next, a ceremonial Kalash Sthapana with holy Gangajal, mango leaves, and coconut establishes the presence of Varuna Dev and all sacred river energies. The Purohits then perform the Vastu Shanti Puja followed by a sacred Navagraha Havan using pure cow ghee and aromatic herbs.
